What kind of incidents are covered in the Incident Component?

IntelCenter covers any incident or event tied to a terrorist or rebel group in the ICD Incident Component. Events that are clearly criminal in nature, are conducted by a military or part of general political unrest are not covered. In areas where there is a high level of terrorist and criminal activity and reporting on the incident is unclear about which way it falls, IntelCenter leans towards including the incident so that the data is preserved and individual users can then decide whether or not it meets their criteria for analytical work they are doing.

All incidents such as shootings, bombings, kidnappings, etc. are covered as well as events such as arrests, raids, organizational changes and more.
