Weapons Search in Incident Component

You can search for the use of a specific weapon in a terrorist or rebel related incident in three ways using the IntelCenter Database (ICD) Incident Component. If you are interested in seeing the weapons capabilities of a specific group first select the group's name in the Group Name field. If you are interested in seeing if a specific weapon is used in incidents in a specific country, select that country from the Primary Country field. To search for the use of a specific type of weapon, (ex.: SA-7 Grail), once in the Incident Component type the weapon into the Report box then select Search. Your results will show all incident reports in the ICD where the group used that weapon.

The second way to search for the use of a weapon in an incident is to select the type of weapon from the Tactics heading under the Classifications drop down menu. You can select one or more of the following: Anti-Aircraft, Artillery, Assassination, Biological Agents, Bombing, Chemical Agent, Grenades, Improvised Weapons, MANPADS, Mortar, Nuclear Device, Rocket, RPG, SAMS, Shooting, Suicide Bombing, Vehicular Bombing and WMD. This search function allows you to search for multiple weapons at the same time. The third type of search is to use the Primary Tactic dropdown to select just one weapon of the following:  Anti-Aircraft, Anti-Tank Missile, Artillery, Assassination, Bicycle IED, Biological Agents, Bladed Weapons, Boat IED, Chemical Agent, Grenades, IED, Incendiary Device, MANPADS, Mortar, Nuclear Device, Rocket, RPG, SAM, Small Arms, Suicide Bombing, VBIED, VBIED (armored), VBIED (improvised armor), VBIED (remote controlled) and WMD.
